Chris and Linda collected shoes from their local community and drove them down to Mexico to deliver them to some of the poverty stricken villages. They had it in their hearts to find some of the smaller roads away from the border and bigger cities.  They wanted to find villages that nobody else has gone to help.  Well they certainly did!  Half way between Ensenada and San Felipe, they discovered two little villages with some wonderful people.  They were so excited to have new shoes!  As one family ran off to tell all their neighbors and friends, they each came with smiles on their faces, picking and choosing which shoes were best for them.  They thanked us and hugged us and even exchanged phone numbers.  This trip turned into more than shoes. We have decided we want to return in the winter and build them new roofs. Their homes are all leaking water during the rainy season.  Please check out our current projects tab and find the extension of this project, called "Happy Homes" to learn more.
