The Amazon is home to more than half of the world's estimated 10 million species of plants, animals and insects.  Though is is plentiful in nutrients for the indigenous villagers, it also leaves them at high risk for insect bites, encounters with poisonous and venomous species and tropical diseases.  Make-A-Dent International will be setting up health clinics throughout the Amazon River Basin.  We will be partnering with doctors and nurses to provide adequate health care to the local communities that do not have access to hospitals.  We will also provide training to the local indigenous people so that they can learn how to treat patients in their own villages.
